Inc. Magazine ranked New Horizons Learning Group No. 4682 on its 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Landry stated, “As an entrepreneur, this is the bucket list of awards. To grow at the rate of the top companies in America is incredible in today’s economy. We focus on our people, our culture, and our strategy, and the results come. Growth like this is a sign something great is about to happen. This is just the beginning, growing is easy, keeping us growing, now that’s the fun part.”
For 34 years, Inc. Magazine has welcomed the fastest growing private companies in America into a very exclusive club. On average the companies on this list have grown almost six fold over the last three years. That’s a result most businesses could only dream of. Together these elite companies have grown hundreds and thousands in percent over the last three years. Collectively, these 5,000 companies have created over 100,000 jobs in the United States.
Commenting on the success of more than just revenue, Vic Emurian, Chief Operating Officer, stated, “We’ve doubled over the last three years, not only in revenue, but in people, in drive and much more than 53% in talent. Personally, I have grown with New Horizons, I am seeing my team grow through New Horizons, and most importantly, we are seeing our students and their careers grow though New Horizons. ”
The core of the business is simple, it’s the people who work there. “We’ve worked really hard over the years to create a great company culture, but it hasn’t been easy, and it hasn’t always been on our minds. For much of the beginning, we were focused on just trying to make payroll and keep the lights on. But there came a time where we worked through some new core values that we actually believed in, a mission statement, and more.” stated Kevin Landry. That was about three years ago, coincidence?
The people behind the numbers of success include a diverse and talented pool. Baby boomers to Millennials, serial entrepreneurs to old school business minds, and everything in between. Anna Nursalim, Chief Financial Officer knows the numbers better than anybody, but when asked about this achievement, numbers were nowhere to be found in her response. “We launched our franchise in 2007, which was tough. To be growing at this rate and creating jobs at this rate is the reason we can feel satisfied after a long week’s work. We have a vision, we want to grow, we want to get better, and we most certainly will.”
