2016 Women in Business

IT Technician/Trainer, Charlotte Augustine, was honored as a finalist for the OCBJ 2016 Women In Business Awards. Charlotte joined the New Horizons Learning Group (NHLG) family in 2015 and have been a key performer ever since. She came to NHLG highly recommended by another New Horizons in Chicago. Her career with New Horizons has totaled over 13 years of Information Technology training and experience. Early in Charlotte’s career she was recognized as the Top Applications Software Instructor across the nation as rated by her students. Charlotte has a unique ability to connect with students as a trusted advisor. With a beaming smile and positive attitude, Charlotte has empowered her students to grow, pass certifications, and gain expertise and confidence in their new found IT positions. She lives the values of our company consistently showcasing her Gratitude, Respect, Accountability, and Simplicity and always putting People First.

Charlotte’s passion expands outside of her academic and professional achievements. In the past she was involved with the Pomona Valley Story Network and began the process to become a volunteer interviewer with the not-for-profit organization so that she could help in the process of showcasing the incredible individuals of Pomona Valley, their achievements and contributions to the city. Charlotte is also passionate about women’s education, especially for those who do not have the liberties and opportunities afforded to her. She ultimately hopes to put together a project recording the stories of women throughout the US and other countries and making those stories available for the encouragement of women everywhere.

NHLG VP of Employee Experience, Human Resources Laura Noid was honored as a finalist for the OCBJ 2015 Women In Business Awards. Laura has implemented a company-wide open door policy where everyone is encouraged to share and increase creativity. Laura is passionate about ensuring each employee is provided the opportunity to succeed and advance their career. Since her employment, New Horizons Learning Group has been voted 'Best Places to Work' in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties, four (4) years in a row.
